How to use it
One question, answered from the missions you have accepted. The same board, in the same order, is drawn under Commander › Missions.
1 Ask for the mission board.
Say "what missions do I have" or "what am I hauling".
D47 reads the board from the missions you have accepted, with no model, key or network.
2 Hear the three that matter most.
Listen to the first three missions.
They are ordered as expiring within the hour, handed in at this station, then soonest expiry, with destination and time left; the rest are a count with the total reward.
! The one that stops people.
Accept a mission in the game before you ask about it.
It appears on the board; D47 cannot list what a station offers because the journal does not.
Why it works this way
A short list you can listen to, ordered by what you can do about it.
1 Three named, the rest counted.
2 A mission with no detail is named and left at that.
The details
The missions you have accepted, read aloud. Part of every run.
Ask for it
“mission board” “what missions do I have” “read my missions” “what am I hauling” “what’s on the slate”
You have five missions. First, Courier Job Available, to Merchiston Dock, Kweleutahe, 32 minutes left. Second, Delivery, to Jameson Memorial, Shinrarta Dezhra, 5 hours 10 minutes left. Third, Massacre, to Kweleutahe, 9 hours left. And two more. 412,000 credits in rewards.
Missions expiring within the hour come first, then those handed in at the station you are docked at, then the rest, soonest expiry first in each group. A mission whose accept the journal has not shown is named by its internal name alone. With no missions the answer says so.
“what kinds of missions are there” “where would I find a disable mission”
The first lists the board’s groups with their mission types. The second says the circumstances the type’s names were recorded under: faction states, governments, economies, whether it needs a navy rank and whether you hold one, and whether it comes from engineer bases. These are the likeliest circumstances, never a statement that a board offers it. A type D47 does not know is answered with the nearest names.
“what missions should I take”
The missions a station offers are not in the journal, so the answer begins “I only see missions after you accept them.” and then reads your board.
The tool surface, for contributors
get_mission_board
Reads the Commander’s accepted missions: up to three, ranked by what can be acted on, each with its
destination and time left, then a count of the rest and the total reward. With all set it lists every
mission, one line each, with its faction, cargo, destination, progress, time left and reward.
{"type":"object","properties":{"all":{"type":"boolean","description":"Set when the Commander asks about a particular mission, or about more than the three most urgent; lists every mission, one line each, in the same order."},"offered":{"type":"boolean","description":"Set when the Commander asks which missions to take; the answer then says that missions on offer at a station are not in the journal."}},"required":[],"additionalProperties":false}
get_mission_types
Says which mission types the board has, group by group, or where one type is likeliest to turn up: the faction states, governments and economies its names were recorded under, whether it needs a navy rank and whether the Commander holds one, and whether it comes from engineer bases.
{"type":"object","properties":{"mission_type":{"type":"string","description":"One mission type as spoken, such as disable or planetary scan, or its internal name such as Mission_Disable. Leave out to list every group with its types."}},"required":[],"additionalProperties":false}
